Fall brings cooler temperatures, tighter schedules, and pumpkin-flavored everything. It also means it's back to school time! Almost all of our life story books include portraits from those old school days, from those darling elementary school portraits to overcrowded classroom photos. And the stories? Even better. Childhood reflections would be incomplete without a few memories from their school days, such as favorite and feared teachers, or school hijinks with friends.

Do you know your loved ones' school stories? Go beyond where and when they went to school. Ask them a few of these questions and you'll be amazed where the stories can go. Our parents and grandparents have so many colorful memories that remain undiscovered. Sharpen your pencils and get to work! Let us know if we can help.

Great questions to ask about school days:

Did you enjoy school? If not, what would you rather be doing?

What was your favorite and least favorite subject as a kid?

Did you have to work hard for good grades, or did it come easily?

What did you do during recess and who did you play with?

What clubs/sports/activities were you involved in?

Did you win any awards or earn any accomplishments that you are proud about?

Were you ever sent to the principal's office? What did you do to get there?
